LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY PRODUCTS

All sales are final.  We do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges.  However, at dotmod we stand behind our products and are pleased to offer a limited lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects. 

WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY COVER?

Authentic dotmod products determined by dotmod to have manufacturing, material or workmanship defects. 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?

  1. Damage of a product resulting from negligence or misuse
  2. Damage of a product resulting from improper handling, transport or storage
  3. Damage of a product resulting from user modification of the product
  4. Damage caused by natural disaster
  5. Products with external signs of damage
  6. Theft or loss of the product (including loss in transit)
  7. E-liquids and damage caused by e-liquid or water
  8. Batteries and damage to a product caused by a battery
  9. Disposable products
  10. Coils
  11. Clones and counterfeit products and products that cannot be verified as authentic dotmod products
  12. Products that have been transferred from the original retail purchaser to subsequent parties (including auction style websites such as eBay)
  13. Color discrepancies: certain manufacturing materials or processes do not allow for a perfect color match across all products, colors may vary slightly
  14. Tarnishing of bare metal finishes
  15. Packing or shipping errors (please see shipping policy)

HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY PERIOD?

This is a limited lifetime warranty for products deemed by dotmod to have manufacturing, material or workmanship defects, provided all other conditions are met.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

Send an email to customerservice@dotmod.com.  Please include the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Where you purchased your product
  • Picture or photocopy of a receipt
  • Picture of the product clearly showing the serial number
  • Picture or photocopy of authenticity certificate
  • Description of your concern/issue
  • Photograph or video of the issue

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Our customer service department will contact you and attempt to troubleshoot the issue with you.  If that does not resolve the issue, our customer service department will provide instructions for sending the product to dotmod and will remain in contact with you until resolution of the issue.

WHEN RETURNING A PRODUCT TO DOTMOD:

  • Please be sure to return the item in its original dotmod packaging with all pieces, instructions, and certificates included.
  • Please place a paper INSIDE the mailing package with your name and contact information on it.

 WHAT WILL DOTMOD DO WITH MY RETURNED PRODUCT?

If we are able to repair the product our Customer Service department will inform you, perform the repair, and return the product to you.  Dotmod will cover the shipping fees for the return of the repaired product.

If we are unable to repair your product, and the product was purchased 90 days or less from the date you contacted Customer Service about the issue, you may select between a credit equal to the purchase price of the unrepairable product, or a replacement product of equal or lesser value.  Please note due to the high demand of limited editions and limited releases, replacement with the exact product and/or color is not guaranteed.  If replacement is selected, dotmod will cover the shipping fees for the replaced product.

If we are unable to repair your product, and the product was purchased 91 or more days from the date you contacted Customer Service about the issue, dotmod will issue you a credit equal to 50% of the purchase price of the unrepairable product. 

ARE THERE ANY COSTS I HAVE TO PAY?

Yes, you are responsible for the cost of shipping an item back to dotmod for warranty services.  If your product is determined by dotmod to be under warranty, the replacement or repaired product will be returned at no cost to you.  If dotmod determines your product is not under warranty, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to you.  If you choose not to pay for return shipping of a non-warrantied product, you will forfeit that product.  Dotmod does not pay for the return shipping of products not under warranty.

Please note:  For best results, we ask that you communicate in an open, honest and socially acceptable manner with our customer service team (please no profanity or threats).  Dotmod reserves the right to deny any warranty service and to discontinue communication about warranty issues.

 

DISPOSABLE PRODUCT 14-DAY LIMITED RETURN & WARRANTY POLICY

We are pleased to offer a 14-day return policy for unopened and unused disposable products.

WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY COVER?

Authentic dotmod disposable products deemed by dotmod to have manufacturing, material or workmanship defects for a period of up to fourteen (14) days from the date of retail purchase. 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?

  1. Non-disposable products (see Limited Lifetime Warranty)
  2. Cosmetic damage that does not affect usage
  3. Damage of a product resulting from negligence or misuse
  4. Damage of a product resulting from improper handling, transport or storage
  5. Damage of a product resulting from user modification of the product
  6. Opening, disassembling, or tampering with the device in any way
  7. Damage caused by natural disaster
  8. Products with external signs of damage
  9. Theft or loss of the product (including loss in transit)
  10. A pod that has 20% or less of juice left
  11. Normal performance degradation of batteries
  12. Clones and counterfeit products and products that cannot be verified as authentic dotmod products
  13. Products that are no longer in your possession
  14. Products that have been transferred from the original retail purchaser to subsequent parties (including auction style websites such as eBay)
  15. Color discrepancies: certain manufacturing materials or processes do not allow for a perfect color match across all products, colors may vary slightly
  16. Packing or shipping errors (please see shipping policy)

We will send you a replacement for the product.

*Please be aware that we may ask you to send the product back for R&D purposes - depending on the experienced issue.

WHEN RETURNING A PRODUCT TO DOTMOD:

  • If we request that you send a product to us for R&D purposes. Please be sure to return the item in its original dotmod packaging with everything it came with.
  • Please place a paper INSIDE the mailing package with your name and contact information on it.
  • Please let us know when you send it out and provide us with the tracking number. As soon as the tracking is updated, we will send you the replacement product.
